Founded in 1992 in the heart of the Goutte d’Or, Galerie Echomusée is a community-based gallery deeply rooted in its neighbourhood. For more than thirty years, it has welcomed exhibitions, workshops, performances, concerts and artistic initiatives led by both emerging and established artists.

Its strong local identity and its openness to many forms of creation make it one of the most distinctive cultural spaces in the Parisian art scene.

It is also where the idea of Art à la Plage began: a project born from the meeting between Galerie Echomusée and Art Confidential, with the desire to bring art, summer energy and cultural encounters into different parts of the city.

For Barbès Plage, the gallery brings the beach to the heart of the 18th arrondissement. Far from the sea, but full of life, the exhibition turns the idea of summer into an urban, festive and generous experience.

With its location near Square Léon, its terrace and its lively neighbourhood atmosphere, Galerie Echomusée is the symbolic starting point of the Art à la Plage trail.

2. Feuille Blanche, Café Noir

Just a few steps from Parc Martin-Luther-King, Feuille Blanche, Café Noir is a warm cultural café where coffee, conversation and creativity naturally come together.

For Art à la Plage, the venue presents De quelle couleur est l’été?, an exhibition that brings the beach into the café through colour and light.

From the deep blue of the sea to the warm shades of sunset, the exhibition explores the sensations of a summer day by the water.

It is a generous and sunny stop on the trail, perfect to discover over a coffee, during a break, or while wandering through the Batignolles neighbourhood.

3. Fluctuart

Moored at the foot of the Pont des Invalides since 2019, Fluctuart is one of Paris’s most singular cultural venues. As the world’s first floating urban art centre, this 1,000 m² transparent barge is dedicated to urban creation in all its forms.

This summer, its terrace is transformed by Les Bacchantes, an open-air installation by Olivia de Bona.

Inspired by mythological figures associated with nature, celebration and collective joy, the installation creates a theatrical and poetic setting designed to be experienced as much as observed.

With its rooftop, bar-restaurant, bookshop, exhibitions and view over the Seine, Fluctuart offers a perfect summer stop: art outdoors, by the water, in the heart of Paris.

4. LooLooLook Gallery

Located in the 1st arrondissement, close to the Palais-Royal and rue Saint-Honoré, LooLooLook Gallery is a contemporary art gallery founded in 2021.

The gallery focuses on artistic dialogues between Europe and Asia, presenting painting, sculpture, ceramics, textile art and transdisciplinary projects.

For Art à la Plage, the gallery presents two successive solo exhibitions.

From July 9 to July 26, Intervalles perméables / Porous Pauses presents the work of Alexis Wong, curated by Caroline Arhuero. The exhibition explores thresholds, transitions, relationships and in-between states.

From July 30 to August 16, Fugue: Le Plateau introduces the world of Mai Yutian, where painting, video, photography and poetry come together like a visual fugue.

Two exhibitions, two artistic temperaments, and one gallery that turns summer into a season of discovery.

5. Galerie Marie-Robin

Located in the heart of the Marais, Galerie Marie-Robin is an intimate and refined gallery dedicated to artists working with geometry, colour, minimalism and movement.

Its programme highlights sensitive, precise and visually powerful artistic approaches.

For Art à la Plage, the gallery presents La plage d’Hatika, a collective exhibition bringing together several artists around the colour blue: the blue of the sea, the summer sky, the horizon and open distance.

In this quiet and elegant space, the exhibition becomes a sensory invitation to travel — not through sand or waves, but through colour, rhythm and contemplation.

6. Erev Concept Store

In the Haut-Marais, Erev Concept Store brings together vintage objects, interior decoration and contemporary artists in a colourful, warm and lively atmosphere.

Halfway between a boutique and an exhibition space, it is the ideal setting for a playful summer show.

For Art à la Plage, Erev Concept Store partners with Art Confidential and Maison Grimaud, the historic playing-card publisher, to present Jeux d’artistes.

Artists were invited to reinterpret and transform Grimaud playing cards into original artworks. The result is a light, inventive and accessible exhibition that plays — quite literally — with the boundaries between art, object and everyday life.

7. Galerie Wawi

Just a few steps from République and the Canal Saint-Martin, Galerie Wawi is one of the liveliest contemporary art spaces in the 10th arrondissement.

The gallery is particularly connected to street art and urban art, while also presenting painting, sculpture, photography and other contemporary practices.

Wawi is more than a gallery: it is also a studio, a meeting place and a space for creative workshops such as Drink & Paint and Brunch & Paint.

As part of Art à la Plage, Galerie Wawi brings a generous, open and energetic spirit to the trail, celebrating contemporary art as a shared and joyful experience.

8. Galerie XII

Located in the historic Marais, close to the Seine, Galerie XII has been dedicated to contemporary photography since 2007.

Founded by Valérie-Anne Giscard d’Estaing, the gallery has developed an international programme that explores the many possibilities of the photographic medium.

Today, Galerie XII presents artists whose practices often bring photography into dialogue with painting, drawing, textile art or sculpture.

As a partner of Art à la Plage, the gallery offers a refined and contemporary stop on the route — a window onto photography as a living, evolving and experimental art form.

9. Nanna

Moored at Port de Montebello, facing Notre-Dame, Nanna is one of Paris’s newest literary barges.

Opened in spring 2026, it was created with one clear ambition: to make literature feel alive, festive and accessible.

With a free-access library of 5,000 books, book-club evenings and author talks, Nanna is one of the most singular venues on the Art à la Plage trail.

On July 8, the barge hosts Seine, Sex and Sun, a summer book-club evening dedicated to erotic literature.

Readings, conversations, cocktails and sunset views over the Seine: a literary stop that celebrates freedom, pleasure and summer boldness.

10. Galerie Khål

Located in the Latin Quarter, Galerie Khål is a young and ambitious contemporary art gallery that opened in 2025 in partnership with Art Confidential.

The gallery presents painting, textile, drawing, installation and editions by artists with singular trajectories, often shaped by North African heritages and cultures in movement.

Its programme explores memory, identity and transmission through sensitive, demanding and politically engaged artistic practices.

As part of Art à la Plage, Galerie Khål is a strong stop on the summer trail: intimate, committed and deeply connected to contemporary questions of culture and belonging.

11. Quai de la Photo

Inaugurated in 2023, Quai de la Photo has quickly become one of the essential cultural addresses on the Left Bank.

This 1,000 m² floating art centre is entirely dedicated to contemporary photography and offers free access to its exhibitions.

Located on the Seine, facing the BnF, the venue brings together exhibitions, an outdoor terrace, a bar-restaurant and boat cruises aboard vintage vessels.

From its marina, Quai de la Photo offers private and shared cruises to rediscover Paris from the river and admire the city’s iconic monuments from a different point of view.

It is both a cultural destination and a summer experience — a natural stop on the Art à la Plage trail.

12. Galerie Atelier Mendrisse

Hidden in the charming Cour Damoye, just behind the energy of Place de la Bastille, Galerie Atelier Mendrisse is one of those secret Parisian places that feels suspended in time.

Founded in 2017, this family gallery brings painting and photography together in an intimate setting.

Jean-Louis Mendrisse, painter, and his son Tanguy Mendrisse, photographer, present their work alongside artists such as Louis Magre and Jean Mosnier.

The gallery is also a living creative space, regularly welcoming other artists in residence. It is a discreet, sincere and deeply human stop on the Art à la Plage trail.

13. Galerie Friches et Nous la Paix

In Belleville, rue Dénoyez is more than a street: it is an open-air museum, a place where walls have been speaking for years.

Since 2003, Galerie Friches et Nous la Paix has been one of the beating hearts of this street-art landscape.

It is at once a gallery, a meeting place, a studio and a privileged witness to the performances created on the wall opposite the space.

Open to the public and committed to free access, the gallery has welcomed hundreds of artists in residence and supported emerging practices for more than twenty years.

As part of Art à la Plage, Galerie Friches et Nous la Paix represents street art in its most alive, urban and generous form.

14. Sand Fabrik

The final stop on the Art à la Plage trail could not be more literal: Sand Fabrik is a real beach — indoors, in Pantin.

As the first indoor beach of its kind in France, Sand Fabrik offers a fully immersive summer atmosphere all year round.

Across 1,000 m², the venue brings together sand sports courts, a bar-restaurant, a guinguette and event spaces just outside Paris.

Joyful, unexpected and festive, Sand Fabrik is the perfect conclusion to the trail. It proves that summer is not only a season — it is also a state of mind.

Art à la Plage was born from an idea shared by Galerie Echomusée and Art Confidential: to create a summer art trail that brings together different cultural venues across Paris and Greater Paris.
