Barbès Plage
Galerie Echomusée, Paris
On Friday, Galerie Echomusée opened Barbès Plage, an exhibition we have been working on for several months and were very happy to be part of.
Presented in the heart of the Goutte d’Or, Barbès Plage brings together more than 20 artists around one idea: bringing the spirit of the beach into the middle of Barbès. The result is a lively, generous and slightly offbeat exhibition, rooted in the energy of the neighbourhood while presenting strong and singular artistic practices.
The show is also the starting point of the Art à la Plage trail, a summer art project initiated by Galerie Echomusée and Art Confidential. It reflects the spirit of the whole parcours: art in unexpected places, different atmospheres, and new ways of connecting artists with the public.
The exhibition features works by artists including Pamela Tamby, Clément Balensi, Boukko, Miaritz, Laurence Laborie, Audrey Roué, Mathoou and Lionel Tortey, among many others.
Barbès Plage is on view until August 15 at Galerie Echomusée. Visitors can discover the exhibition, enjoy the terrace, have a cold drink and experience one of the most vibrant stops of the Art à la Plage trail.
